LOTTE Chemical President & CEO Lee Hun Ki engages in field management of businesses in Southeast Asia:

■ First visit to international businesses since inauguration to inspect the affiliated chemical businesses in Southeast Asia and encourage the employees and top management from 17th (Wed) to 19th (Fri).
■ Visited the construction site of LOTTE Chemical’s petrochemical complex for basic materials business and the compounding plant for advanced materials business in Indonesia, the copper foil plant for LOTTE Energy Materials, an affiliate of LOTTE Chemical Group, in Malaysia, and the packaging plant for LOTTE Aluminum in Indonesia.

For the first field management abroad, President & CEO Lee Hun Ki visited the construction site of LOTTE Chemical’s petrochemical complex for basic materials business (LINE Project: LOTTE Indonesia New Ethylene Project) and the compounding plant for advanced materials business in Indonesia, the copper foil plant for LOTTE Energy Materials, an affiliate of LOTTE Chemical Group, and the packaging plant for LOTTE Aluminum in Indonesia. This is his second field management trip after visiting Yeosu and Ulsan plants last month and first international trip since inauguration.
President & CEO Lee looked around the construction site of LINE Project in Indonesia in the morning of the 18th to check the progress and ask for safety and timeliness as planned. He stressed, “We will manage perfectly localized businesses and reinforce global production capabilities based on years of experience in operating various businesses abroad.”
The petrochemical complex, which is about 90% complete, is constructing a mega-sized petrochemical complex in Banten, Indonesia with LOTTE Chemical Titan, a subsidiary, for completion by 2025. Aiming to produce 1,000,000 tons of ethylene, 520,000 tons of propylene (PL), and 250,000 tons of polypropylene (PP) once it is in full operation after 2025, it is expected to contribute to expanding LOTTE Chemical’s global productivity and haul mutually strategic value in Indonesia including economic growth and creation of jobs.
In the afternoon, he visited the packaging plant of LOTTE Aluminum, a member of LOTTE Chemical Group, in Indonesia. On the following day, he looked around the ABS, PC, and PP compounding plants in Indonesia for advanced materials business to ask for dedication to management and customer service.
On the last day of the 17th he visited the copper coil plant of LOTTE Energy Materials in Malaysia to order performance as the strategic global hub of production with leading quality and cost effectiveness and inspect the secondary cell materials business.
