LOTTE Chemical Wins Blue Award at the 2023 Korea Color Conference
Technology Sector for ‘Sustainable Color Tech’
■ ‘Sustainable Color Tech’ that helps with the circulating economy through years of research
■ Unveiled eco-friendly non-painting material technology that can express various colors with the material alone such as transparent/translucent, metal texture, natural texture color, etc.
LOTTE Chemical’s ‘Sustainable Color Tech.’ project won the Blue Award (Tech Sector) at the ‘2023 21st Kore Color Conference’ hosted by the Korea Society of Color Studies.
The Korea Color Conference is the only awards conference related to color in Korea, and it selects and awards outstanding color-related cases in 11 sectors such as landscape, architecture/interior, products, fashion, etc. as it celebrates its 21st anniversary for the development of Korea’s color culture and for fostering and promoting the color industry. This year, a total of 17 pieces were awarded including LOTTE Chemical’s ‘sustainable color’.
LOTTE Chemical’s ‘sustainable color’ can express various transparent/translucent, metal texture and natural texture colors, etc. with only its material, and it applies ‘non-painting solution’ that does not conduct post-processing based on eco-friendly materials, thus making it a reusable eco-friendly non-painting color technology.
This awarded material of LOTTE Chemical received positive evaluations for ▲having a production method that significantly reduces particles to apply in transparent MABS production for color configuration ▲configuring metal colors but can be collected and shredded without additional processes for recycling ▲using recycled pigment technologies for freely expressing natural textured design colors.
A spokesperson for LOTTE Chemical stated, “With this award, we will strive to suggest various total solutions and recycling technologies with materials and colors without post-processing for customers.”
The awards ceremony was held at the Dongdaemun Digital Plaza at 4 p.m. On the 25th and LOTTE Chemical plans to continuously develop color technologies with effective recycling stories starting with the Blue Award (tech sector) of the Korea Color Conference.
