Major Universities in the US for Securing Talented Human Resources

The LOTTE Group Chemical Unit held hiring seminar and networking events at major universities in the US including Stanford and UC Berkeley to secure outstanding human resources.
LOTTE Chemical and LOTTE Fine Chemical held local seminars at 14 universities from the 3rd to 8th with key figures and R&D members such as LOTTE Group Chemical Unit HQ Chief Human Resources Innovation Officer (CHO) Hwang Yong-seok and LOTTE Chemical Innovation Center Director Cho Young-heon visiting in person. It also shared the R&D vision and hiring information of each company.
LOTTE Group Chemical Unit President & CEO Kim Gyo Hyun said, “The LOTTE Group Chemical Unit concretized its existing items and future business items according to the 2030 vision and has set the R&D direction to expand new businesses,” while adding, “We are planning to reinforce key research personnel by 2030 in order to procure the technologies,” while explaining the need to secure outstanding human resources.
This hiring seminar was held in order to secure not only domestic, but also overseas personnel with high capabilities, and dozens of students from each school attended to listen to and relate to the vision and mission of each company.
The LOTTE Group Chemical Unit is striving to develop technologies for the future new industry such as battery materials, hydrogen energy, recycling, etc. focusing on its Daejeon Research Institute, Uiwang Advanced Materials Institute and Seoul Magok Innovation Center. In order to secure talented key personnel abroad, it conducts annual global recruiting sessions, and plans to continue a variety of activities domestically such as holding R&D conferences and conducting industry-academic cooperation with key research labs.
Meanwhile, the LOTTE Group Chemical Unit held the R&D conference with the Copolymer Association in April. At the time, LOTTE Chemical Advanced Materials President Lee Young-jun and researchers attended to explain the future growth engine technologies of the LOTTE Group Chemical Unit such as physical/chemical recycling, battery materials, etc. In October, plans are to invite master’s and doctorate’s degree holders from major universities to unveil its research achievements and R&D visions of all of the subsidiaries of the LOTTE Group Chemical Unit.
