LOTTE Chemical donates rice for the social weak in Songpa-gu


 

■ Donates 3,900 10 kg sacks of rice (approx.. 120 mn KRW in value) to Songpa-gu.
■ Has donated for the social weak in Songpa-gu since 2018.

 

On the 1st, LOTTE Chemical donated rice for the social weak in Songpa-gu, Seoul, including single senior and single-parent families, and for Songpa Food Market and local children’s centers. There was a ceremony at Songpa-gu District Office on the 28th of last month with CEO Gyo-Hyun Kim of LOTTE Chemical and Governor Sung Soo Park of Songpa-gu District Office. The donated rice will be delivered on the 2nd.

LOTTE Chemical donated 3,900 10kg sacks of rice purchased from farmlands near Daesan Factory of LOTTE Chemical. LOTTE Chemical donated 3,200 10kg sacks of rice purchased from Daesan to Korea Association of Welfare Institutions for Single Parent Families last April.

“We hope that the donated rice can help the neighbors who are having difficulties due to the extended strike of COVID19,” said CEO Gyo-hyun Kim. “LOTTE Chemical will make ceaseless efforts to initiate coexistence with the local communities and social contribution.”
