LOTTE Chemical’s Long Fiber Thermoplastic (LFT) has been recognized as a World-Class Product for 2024.

The World-Class Product is an official certification managed by KOTRA and organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, aiming to support excellent domestic products, secure future export potentials, and expand global market share. The certification is awarded to products with a market share ranking within the top five globally, with either an annual market size of over $50 million or annual export volume exceeding $5 million. Products are categorized into "Current World-Class Products," which meet these criteria, and "Next-Generation World-Class Products," which are expected to transition into these top rankings within seven years.

For 2024, 19 products were selected as Current World-Class Products and 45 as Next-Generation World-Class Products, with LOTTE Chemical’s LFT being listed as a Current World-Class Product.

LOTTE Chemical’s LFT is a specialty product that integrates long fibers into base resins (such as PP, PA), enhancing strength and rigidity while reducing weight by about 30% compared to steel. This product is suitable for both injection and extrusion molding and offers superior mechanical properties compared to traditional single-fiber products. It is widely applied to mobility structures, home appliances, industrial materials, and various other fields.

Including this newly selected product, LOTTE Chemical now holds a total of 16 World-Class Products since 2003. The Company provides customized solutions to a wide range of global clients based on the high quality of its products.
