LOTTE Chemical has opened its third ESG Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan, after the first and second ESG Centers in Busan, further supporting waste plastic collection and resource circulation construction activities in the community.
The Haeundae ESG Center, launched on November 13, follows the opening of the first center in Geumjeong-gu in 2022 and the second in Dong-gu in 2023. The center will operate as part of a senior employment program, focusing on activities such as collecting, washing, compressing plastic waste, and providing environmental education and consulting. Revenue generated from these activities will be reinvested into creating more jobs for seniors and sustaining the center's operations.

In addition to Busan, LOTTE Chemical is supporting similar centers and upcycling research labs in Ulsan and Incheon, serving as regional hubs for recycling efforts. Since 2022, the Company has collaborated with local communities to create 1,480 senior jobs and has actively contributed to building a sustainable recycling ecosystem.
